Job Description

Duties:

• Use engineering knowledge to advise customers on best practice and advanced techniques in using CAM software to produce their parts using 2.5D, 3D, high speed and multi-axis machining.
• Analyze and engineer faulty imported model data files, making repairs using techniques such as modification of parametric surface boundaries in UV space, recreating missing surfaces of various forms (NURBS etc).
• Stitching surfaces into BREP solids and ensuring the validity of the resulting solids.
• Exporting the resulting files in formats acceptable by a customer and making modifications to the data format exported to ensure readability. Advise customers on the modification of models for "Design for manufacture" so that the design intent and aesthetics of the part are maintained.
• Demonstrate and support inspection software and hardware including manual and CNC 3 & 5 axis CMMs and Multi-axis articulated arm CMMs.
• On site support and training of customer's engineers including programming inspection routines and reports such as those required for PPAP submissions.
• Demonstrate and support scanning solutions for Reverse Engineering of a range of parts from industry using laser stripe scanners and structured white light scanners to gather data from sample parts or design models.
• Prepare advanced training materials and present training courses to Delcam's Sales Partners and customers by traveling approximately 30% of a given month. Travel will be both domestic and international.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent foreign degree. 4 years experience as an Applications Engineer working within the mechanical engineering sector. 
• Experience must include 2 years of experience in CAD, CAM and Design for Manufacture.
• Experience of training engineers at a high level is required. Demonstrable experience in CAD to include experience with solid, surface and hybrid mesh modeling and importing models in various different data formats IGES, STEP, SAT, X_T, IPT, CATPART, PRT, DGK.
• Demonstrable experience in the use of CAM software and techniques for machining parts in 3, 4 and 5-axis milling and tooling for manufacture of engineered products.
• Experience in writing 5-axis part programs using one of the industry leading CAM software packages, PowerMILL, HyperMILL or Tebis. Demonstrable ability to construct accurate 3D models using sparse data to construct geometry and surfaces.
• Demonstrable ability to reverse engineer parts, through the manipulation of large data sets from non contact measurement systems (point clouds).
• Ability  to decimate the data, production of STL meshes from the data and through the final surfacing of the mesh in a way that reflects the original design intent.
• Demonstrable experience with inspection and scanning equipment and  associated software for the inspection and reverse engineering of sculptured shapes.
• Must be able to travel approximately 30% of a given month.  Trips can be international and last up to two weeks.

Folgende Aufgaben erwarten Sie

• Ausbau und Pflege unserer Kundenbasis im bezeichneten Vertriebsgebiet.
• Beratung der Kunden, mit dem Fokus auf dem nachhaltigen Vertrieb unserer Produkte
• Reporting und Vertriebscontrolling

Unabdingbar sind Erfahrungen im Vertrieb von technischen Investitionsgütern.

• Selbstständige Konzeption, Gestaltung und Produktion neuer sowie Pflege und Archivierung existierender Dokumentationen.
• Fachliche Verantwortung für die Gestaltung des Dokumentationsprozesses.
• Termingerechte Bearbeitung und Übersetzung (Englisch-Deutsch) technischer Softwaredokumentation, Installations- und Bedienungsanleitungen, nationale Newsletter sowie technischer Schulungsunterlagen
• Softwarelokalisierung und Erstellung eines kontextsensitiven Online-Hilfesystems
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit der Abteilung Marketing und PR
• Durchführung bereichsübergreifender Sonderaufgaben

Person Description

• Studium der Technischen Redaktion, des Maschinenbaus, Mechatronik oder einer vergleichbaren Ausbildung mit didaktischem Bezug
• Mehrjährige einschlägige Berufserfahrung im Bereich technische Redaktion, idealerweise im Maschinenbau oder Mechatronik
• Sicherer Umgang mit redaktionellen Werkzeugen sowie MS Office
• Erfahrungen im Aufbau und Umgang mit Redaktionssystemen und Autorentools wie FrameMaker SGML/XML, Software-Entwicklungswerkzeuge, Translation Memory-Systemen und Grafikprogrammen
• Teamgeist, hohe Eigeninitiative und didaktische Qualifikationen
• Verhandlungssichere Englisch- u. Deutsch-Kenntnisse

Person Description

Ideal candidates will be outgoing self starters with experience in both industrial sales and operations of CNC machines. Experience in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, CNC programming or CAD/CAM is a strong plus. Responsibilities include prospecting, basic technical demonstrations and closing sales opportunities.  The salesman will be headquartered in Salt Lake City, or Pasedena and travel throughout the territory on a routine basis.  For candidates with significant sales experience we will consider a home based office in the Western US.
